Welcome Back Fellow Online Entrepreneurs,
Today’s post addresses a basic skill many new and seasoned online marketers address and/or outsource (hire someone else for pay).
Writing Effective Ad Messages
I’ll start by defining ad messaging. If you’re going to advertise your business, you might as well put the numbers in your favor by harnessing online technology. Allow me to clarify.
Point #1:
There are hundreds of thousands of businesses online that maintain annual ad budgets potentially paying you for your time and effort. If you’re in need of immediate jobs for pay, there are websites devoted to connecting buyers to writers.
Writing articles is one of the best skills you can learn NOW!
Here’s what’s generally involved.
1) You must be able to follow an outlined article format.
The buyer will specify what’s required. Most published articles online only involve a 250 – 300 word format.
Point #2:
2) You must write an article that is original in it’s content.
Copying someone else won’t do. I suggest that you research several resources and then write from memory. The best articles are written when you write from a blank page.
Point #3:
3) You will need to conduct a small amount of research people will want to read more about. When you write your content, it should leadg interested readers in conclusive directions. This article is one simple example. I spent 20 minutes researching a few websites. I carried out a few simple actions leading to my conclusive findings.
EXAMPLE:
Whether you’re writing something technical online or you’re just writing about topics a consuming public will typically want like specialized pet care targeting specific breeds or home and gardening killer tools, some companies demand more stringent content than others.
If you have the desire and stick-to-it-tiveness, you will find a way to attract real jobs to you!
Conclusive Findings
Here are 2 websites I researched to write this article for you!
1) ifreelance.com
They do charge you a small monthly fee to set up your initial profile. Some free lance sites are better than others. The key is to run your Google search in a few different directions, join the site (for free whenever possible), or only pay out very small amounts to test these sites. If you find 2 or 3, that’s fine. Try to find one solid site out of at least two tested sites.
At ifreelance, this place brings buyers and service providers together for a small monthly fee. Be careful when you are checking out listed services for pay. Many of them will lead to other network marketing companies and sites that only want you to buy other products/services from them.
You don’t have to invest a major sum of monthly money to get the word out but you do want to keep your monthly operating costs to a minimum.
Look for a 30-day trial period or try 1 month. If it doesn’t deliver, cancel that membership.
You can start with a low cost $7/month membership. Try not to go above this limit.
Look for authentic buyers. If you’re on a site that is not delivering, then I highly suggest you check the job listings on major department store sites. Those are places where you will find current jobs for hire. I will suggest — there’s no quick fix when you’re building some online skills. By looking at some of the jobs department stores list, you can see what’s types of skills are needed to later move you into solid hire. When you see that a degree is required, you do not necessarily have to run to the nearest university to obtain a new degree. Take your time, research what’s out there, just get the information, compare and contrast services, and spend your time finding out what will pay.
If you can only write 300 word articles or post simple but short sentences to forums, that’s all you need!
2) sitepoint.com
This site brings web developers, writers, and other advertising people together. Even if you’re a beginner, you have a chance to place yourself here to get the word out.
You will see various tutorials designed to target your learning.

One Last Point —
When you head to sitepoint.com, if you see several terms like CSS, HTML, and other topics usually creating common beginner confusion, don’t let those industry terms bother you. The key is to scan that site and get exposure. When you eventually have to build a website or hire someone to do that, you will need to know what these common terms involve. You don’t have to master coded languages. You just have to know what some of the common languages are, and be able to identify which applications help you build your site (ruby on rails, php files, script files, etc.).
The key to your success will be to practice clear, correctly spelled and punctuated English, conduct some daily research, and get into the habit of writing anywhere from 2 – 5 articles/day. These articles don’t have to be difficult. They do have to be helpful articles others will follow and act upon This is true because genuine ad copy (ad messages online) are simple, direct, but not necessarily grammically correct. Think 8th grade reading unless you’re writing technical articles. You don’t have to possess an English degree. You don’t have to get an MBA. You don’t have to develop technical articles unless this is something you absolutely love to do.
